Set amid sheltered green pastures at the heart of the village of Clachtoll, Taigh an Àilean is a former croft house built in 2007 and extended in 2013. It lies five minutes walk from the sandy beaches of Clachtoll and Stoer bays, and the Iron Age broch of An Dun.
The accommodation consists of a cosy lounge/kitchen with wood burning stove, bathroom with bath and separate shower, one double and one twin bedroom. French windows opening on to south facing terrace.
Clachtoll lies on the coast 6 miles north of Lochinver along a one track road with spectacular views of the mountains of Assynt and Coigach. Usually reached via Ullapool (just under an hour's drive) and Inverness (2 hours) it is a superb centre for walking, mountaineering, fishing, dining, geologizing, wildlife and bird watching.
